Redmedia completes official Rivermaya social media fansite

With a new management team in place, International Filipino Rock Band sensation, Rivermaya, launched its social media fansite – www.rivermaya.ph – on November 2009 after a long bout of controversy surrounding arguably one the of most successful rock bands ever to come out of the Philippines.
The site presented another breakthrough project for Redmedia because it amplified our flexibility and capability in applying social media applications into the Philippines’ music and entertainment industry. It also signified Redmedia’s intention to bring the industry into digital marketing, making Philippines bands, singers and entertainers accessible to a more global audience.
“We’ve asked the help of Redmedia to build our site because of their excellent track record in new media”, said Rivermaya Lead Drummer Mark Escueta.
Negotiations to build the fansite took place mid-October. Redmedia designer, Charissa Magalong, took charge of putting together an elaborate and unique look for the Rock Band that will somehow set them apart from the other bands that has so far not ventured in the use of the new media to promote their music and lifestyle, and among other things, keep in touch and share information with their already huge fan base.
“This fansite will bring us closer to our fans both here and abroad”, added Escueta.
